Porcelana is an extremely rare and precious plant, because it is also one of the most delicate cacaos: once ripe, the fruits become prey to insects and fungi.
Grown in the Andes since antiquity, it was rediscovered and grafted by Domori in the late 90s, in our Hacienda San José plantation in Venezuela. The name comes from the translucency of its green or red fruits, making them look like porcelain. The beans are oval with a completely smooth surface.
