There are some lollies that have become an iconic part of Aussie culture over the years. These lollies do more than simply satisfy a sweet craving in the short term, they define childhoods and infiltrate your dreams. There's nothing we enjoy more at Candy Bar Sydney than tracking down these sugary Australian treasures in all shapes and sizes and including them in our ever growing supply of cheap bulk lollies. There's one company in particular that stands for true blue Aussie entrepreneurship and candy discovery: the folks at Lagoon Confectioners. The candy connoisseurs here have been in business since 1929, and they're responsible for old favourites such as Choo Choo Bars and Sherbet Bombs. Three generations of the McQuade family have carefully and lovingly maintained the booming boiled lolly business in factories in south Melbourne, Port Melbourne, and most recently, Williamstown North. The Sherbet Bomb was what put Lagoon Confectioners on the map, and at Candy Bar Sydney, these explosive candy treats come in black, blue, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow. In keeping with Lagoon's innovative corporate identity, son McQuade went one step further and infused the sherbet bomb with fruity goodness. They're perfect for mixing up on the candy buffet table, or colour theming as the occasion demands. Then there's the Lagoon Choo Choo Bar, inspired by the old steam trains from a bygone era. These babies are juicy, chewy, and addictive and come in luscious liquorice and raspberry flavours. Choo Choo bars are so iconic in the lucky country, they've even earned their own Wikipedia entry. Not bad for an Aussie export! Lagoon never ceased to amaze us with its original assortment of boiled lollies and sour lollies. At our Sydney lolly shop we've got Fizzoes in white, yellow, purple, pink, orange, green and blue (mix them up at your leisure!) and succulent acid drops with wild and freaky flavours such as blue passionfruit, green lime, pink raspberry, purple blackberry, orange, yellow lemon, and white pineapple, just to name a few.
